AOG and the new Ongame "P5" Client

by 15. June 2009 03:39

Most Ongame sites have now updated to the new P5 poker engine. This of course breaks AOG since it is a completely different PokerClient. I was actually not planning on updating AOG to the new client since it has probably changed too much, but incredibly Ongame has "chosen" to create a new client without fixing som of the most annoying bugs in the old one !!

Originally AOG was created to solve one very annoying issue : Tables popping up over your active table before you had a chance to act. This incredibly stupid bug also exists in the new client and if Ongame doesn't fix this soon I will probably create a new AOG version that has some of the same features that was present in AOG v7 or v8.

As for the Betpot stuff and more advanced table shuffling - that will probably take some time to update to the new Client so that will have to wait.

Using Prepaid 3G Internet when travelling

by 26. January 2009 09:30

I am very happy with my 3G modem that gives me internet access all over Denmark for a fixed monthly price. Unfortunately the international roaming charges makes it so expensive that it is useless when travelling abroad.

I've collected a small list of providers that offer prepaid 3G modems and/or sim cards that allow you to use the 3G network at local rates when you are in their coverage area.

This gives you a couple of benefits : Lower rates, connectivity anywhere and, very importantly, your own private IP address instead of shared wireless at a café or hotel.

I will expand the list below as I discover more providers, and if you have personal experience with one please add a comment and I will update the list.

CountryProviderModem/SIM priceAccess priceComments
France Orange 29€ 25€ for 6 hours
Ireland 3 Ireland 9€ Sim Only 10 € / week
UK Vodafone £39 incl. 1GB valid 12 mnths 15£/1GB additional  1GB should last for something like 30 hours online

AutoOngame v11

by 28. November 2008 10:55

I've had several bugreports about AOG not working. But at the same time I've heard from many happy users so I've been a bit puzzled about what could be wrong for some people,.. UNTIL I found out that one of the latest Ongame updates have changed something so that Cashgame tables  and Tournament tables are now different in the way they show some of the buttons.

I've made a fix to AOG now so that it should work with both Cash and Tours at the same time. If this turns out to cause problems for people I might have to add an option to select Cash vs. Tour mode, but I hope to avoid that.

I apologize to all the cash-game players who've had the problems - I am strictly a Donkament player myself Foot in mouth

Go to the AOG script homepage now and download v11 that has the fix if you play cash.

As of this version, I'm only putting the EXE-version up for download since it seemed to confuse more people than it helped to have the script as well. The script is still available for anyone that would like to use that or to edit it before use. Just send me an email or a comment via the site and I will send it to you.

AutoOngame v10 - More Bugfixes

by 7. November 2008 12:10

I finally managed to find the bug that has haunted SNG and tour players in v9. I have posted a new version that is now called v10.

There's one more small improvement in this version in that it now preserves the ini-file between versions. If you want to keep the settings you have in v9 you should find and rename AutoOngamev9.ini to autoongame.ini which will be the name of the ini-file going forward.

Download from the usual place : http://www.zapsplace.com/page/AutoOngame-Multitable-Script.aspx

AutoOngame V9 - Fixes for latest Ongame update

by 3. October 2008 12:22

I have made an update to AutoOngame that fixes the things that broke with the latest Ongame update. There are no new features, everything should work as in v8. Please let me know through comments or emails on this blog if you find something that doesn't work.

Download and instructions as usual here

I want to thank everyone that have sent me suggestions for improvements and I hope to find time to put some or all of these features in the next version :

- Right mouse fold
- Free table placement with "memory"
- Sit out all tables
- Maybe ... maybe ... a reload feature Yell

Enjoy, Zap

Ongame Update broke AOG

by 3. October 2008 03:06

Unfortunately the latest Ongame software update broke AutoOngame.

I will make an update as soon as possible, but this weekend I am going to the Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany and for those of you who might doubt my priorities I give you exhibit A :

An update should be available monday, or tuesday at the latest. Maybe sooner if I find time before leaving.

AutoOngame Multitable Helper Script V7

by 8. July 2008 16:19
